Memory Verse Game -Voices

The Spinner Game last week was popular but one drawback was, the spinner keeps landing on the same thing so the spinner had to be forced to have more variety.

My daughter and I made these cards with some fresh ways of saying our memory verse:

All things work together for good
to them that love God.
Romans 8:28

This was a fun way to work on our verse, we will use this again!

Fly Swatter Review Game

One last 'Shelley' game, we tried this one at Good News Club and it was great.

Directions:

I was concerned it would get wild but it was the best game ever.  We have about 20 kids and there is always 10 questions. With 2 swatters for each question, everyone gets to play!

Fishing Review Game

This is a fun review game, also furnished by the amazing Shelley Fietkau. The other games I've posted of hers are here and here.

Get ready for kids to crowd around and get right in on this one!

It was assembled with a plastic tub, foam fishy stickers, a small bamboo type reed, string, buzz magnet and lots of fish made from twisted metallic pipe cleaners. The string is tied to the reed and magnet and then hot glued in place.

The Directions:

And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
Matthew 4:18-20

Thanks to Cherish Ward for modeling how to use this fun review game.

Space Race review game

Last month my daughter and I went to Lower Columbia CEF's 'Super Saturday'. It was a great day of learning through classes and workshops.

My favorite workshops were with the amazing assistant director for CEF Tri-Cities, Shelley Fietkau.
She had about a thousand review game ideas and not only shared those ideas, she actually gave us some games!

I have tried 2 of them on our Good News Club with roaring success. I hope to use the others in the last few weeks of this GNC season and plan to use them for Summer 5 Day clubs.

The 'Space Race Game':

The draw cards:

We divided into Boy Team/Girl Team. The boys kept drawing cards that sent the girls back and they won big. Girlies were a bit sore but the boys loved it!

Hamantaschen for Purim

We are studying the book of Esther.
Purim is next week and it's my week to bring treats so I made these Gluten Free Hamantaschen.
Tasty little filled cookies that resemble hats or ears or pockets.

There is so much folklore surrounding these treats that it is unclear the exact origin and reasoning.
But who cares, they taste great and are messy fun to make.

Some hazelnut chocolate filled

And some blueberry filled.

Ready to go BOO Haman and Cheer Mordecai!
